City of Tukwila <br />Washington <br />Resolution No. 1807 <br />A RESOLUTION OF THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE <br />CITY OF TUKWILA, WASHINGTON, ADOPTING A <br />SURFACE WATER COMPREHENSIVE PLAN, AND <br />REPEALING RESOLUTION NO. 1262. <br />WHEREAS, surface water management protects people, property, and the general <br />environment from damage caused by rainfall, water runoff, and waterborne pollution; <br />and <br />WHEREAS, the City of Tukwila is regulated under the Washington State <br />Department of Ecology's Western Washington Phase II Municipal Stormwater Permit; <br />and <br />WHEREAS, Tukwila created a Surface Water Utility in 1989 to fund maintenance <br />and improvements to the natural and constructed surface water systems in the City; <br />and <br />WHEREAS, the Surface Water Comprehensive Plan identifies specific actions and <br />strategies to manage and control the rate and quality of surface water in Tukwila; <br />NOW, THEREFORE, THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF TUKWILA, <br />WASHINGTON, HEREBY RESOLVES AS FOLLOWS: <br />Section 1. The plan and appendices titled "2013 Surface Water Comprehensive <br />Plan ", dated February 2013 and prepared by CH2M HILL, are hereby adopted by this <br />reference as if set forth in full, and supersede the plan dated November 2003. <br />Section 2. The timing and budgeting of projects in the City's annual six -year <br />Capital Improvement Program (CIP) will determine when the capital program listed in <br />the Surface Water Comprehensive Plan will be done and how the project costs will be <br />paid. <br />Section 3.
