CITY OF TUKWILA <br />A RESOLUTION OF THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY <br />OF TUKWILA, WASHINGTON, APPROVING AN <br />INTERLOCAL AGREEMENT WITH KING COUNTY FOR <br />THE PURPOSE OF PROVIDING LAW ENFORCEMENT <br />MUTUAL AID. <br />WHEREAS, the City of Tukwila, King County, and the Washington Association of <br />Shenffs and Police Chiefs (WASPC) recognize the need to provide additional resources to other <br />law enforcement agencies under certain circumstances, and <br />WHEREAS, WASPC instituted the Law Enforcement Mutual Aid Plan (the Plan) in <br />1987 as further implementation of the Mutual Aid Police Officers' Powers Act (Chapter 10.93, <br />RCW); and <br />WHEREAS, the City desires and agrees to participate in Mutual Aid activities as defined <br />within the Plan, and <br />WHEREAS, the completion of this multi jurisdictional agreement requires that an <br />interlocal agreement be adopted between the affected jurisdictions pursuant to Chapter 39.34, <br />RCW, <br />NOW, THEREFORE, THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF TUKWILA, <br />WASHINGTON, DO HEREBY RESOLVE AS FOLLOWS: <br />Section 1. The above recitals are found to be true and correct in all material respects and <br />the referenced interlocal agreement is based on such recitals. <br />Section 2. The Mayor of the City of Tukwila is hereby authorized to execute an <br />appropriate interlocal agreement in substantially, if not identically, the same form as the attached <br />agreement in order to effect its stated purpose. <br />Section 3. If any section, sentence, clause, or phrase of this resolution is found to be <br />invalid or unconstitutional by a court of competent jurisdiction, such invalidity or <br />unconstitutionality shall not affect the validity or constitutionality of any section, sentence, <br />clause or phrase of this resolution. <br />PASSED BY THE CITY COUI)TCIL OF <br />Y <br />at a regular meeting thereof this 18th day of November 1991 <br /> <br />ATTEST /AUTHENTICATED <br />Jane E.
