A J FILE .'12" 7 /'-s� <br />DATE 'F' 3 <br />AUTOMATIC MUTUAL RESPONSE A <br />THIS AGREEMENT, made and entered into this 23rd day of Julv. 1992 <br />1992 by and between CITY OF SEATAC, WASHINGTON and CITY OF TUKWILA, <br />WASHINGTON. <br />WITNESSETH: <br />WHEREAS, each of the parties hereto maintains equipment and <br />personnel for the suppression of fires within its own jurisdiction <br />and areas, and <br />WHEREAS, the parties hereto desire to augment the fire protection <br />available in their various establishments, districts, agencies and <br />municipalities, and <br />WHEREAS, the lands or districts of the parties hereto are adjacent <br />or contiguous so that mutual assistance in a fire emergency is <br />deemed feasible, and <br />WHEREAS, it is policy of these parties to conclude such agreements <br />wherever practicable, and <br />WHEREAS, it is mutually deemed sound, desirable, practicable, and <br />beneficial for the parties to this agreement to render assistance <br />to one another in accordance with these terms: <br />THEREFORE BE IT AGREED THAT: <br />1. To the extent each Department has apparatus available when <br />requested by the other, each Department will automatically <br />dispatch the apparatus called for by the other jurisdiction as <br />defined by the attached map. Said apparatus shall be <br />dispatched from the closest station to the emergency, unless <br />said apparatus is out of service, in which case an alternate <br />apparatus shall be dispatched if possible. <br />2. The rendering of assistance under the terms of this agreement <br />shall not be mandatory, but the party providing the assistance <br />should immediately inform the receiving agency if, for any <br />reason, assistance cannot be rendered. <br />3. A. Each party to this agreement releases and waives all <br />claims against the other party for compensation for any <br />loss, damage, personal injury, or death occurring in <br />consequence of the performance of this agreement. It is <br />understood that each party shall remain responsible in <br />all respects for its own employees. <br />Page 1 <br />
