G") EST. 199Q <br /> G <br /> E 1S <br /> a9oa <br /> RECEIVED <br /> September 16, 2010 NOV 0 3 ZUIU <br /> TUKWILA <br /> SUBJECT: City of SeaTac Fire Stations 45 and 46 PUBLIC WORKS <br /> Tukwila Emergency Communications Center <br /> Letter of Understanding terms of use <br /> Negotiations between the City of SeaTac (SeaTac) and the City of Tukwila (Tukwila) around the <br /> backup use of SeaTac Fire Stations 45 and 46 have been ongoing for several months. Those <br /> discussions have resulted in this Letter of Understanding (LOU). <br /> Whereas, the Regional Disaster Plan was adopted and subscribed to by the City of Tukwila on August <br /> 5, 2003, and recorded as Agreement Number 03 -118; and <br /> Whereas, the Regional Disaster Plan was adopted and subscribed to by the City of SeaTac on May 14, <br /> 2003 and recorded as Agreement Number 03 -A18: <br /> Whereas, the Regional Disaster Plan includes an "Omnibus Legal and Financial Agreement" that <br /> provides the legal platform for resource sharing among agencies signatory to the Regional Disaster <br /> Plan and establishes the financial ground rules for invoicing and financial recovery from FEMA; and <br /> It is agreed by all parties that the following conditions, obligations, and requirements shall apply, and <br /> that each party is bound by the following: <br /> Issue <br /> Tukwila is planning for a backup location for its Fire Prevention staff and the Emergency <br /> Communications Center (ECC) in the event that the Tukwila City Hall is not usable as an <br /> ECC; <br /> The City of SeaTac is willing to agree in principle to conditional use of Fire Station 45 as a <br /> backup ECC and Fire Station 46 as a backup fire station for Tukwila, subject to the needs <br /> of SeaTac. <br /> 0 a n Lstriee <br /> nJ <br />
