<br /> <br />City Of Tukwila <br />Jim Haggerton, Mayor <br />Police Department <br />Michael Villa, Chief of Police <br />An Accredited Agency <br /> <br /> <br /> <br /> <br /> <br />COPCAB Minutes <br />February 13, 2014 <br />6:30pm-8:00pm <br /> <br />Present: Chief Villa, Chris Partman, Kim Karns, Jerry Thornton, Lynn Churchill, Jun Castillo <br /> <br /> <br /> <br />1.Minutes from 1/9/14 meeting approved with one spelling correction. <br /> <br /> <br />2.Chief’s Update <br /> <br /> <br /> <br />Developed plans and goals for the Strategic plan. <br /> <br />Goal #1 is staffing in 2013 we lost 7 officers, the majority were ones who did not pass field <br />o <br />training or probation. Currently 69 positions are filled, 6 in background, of them are 5 lateral <br />candidates. There are currently two open positions for non-commissioned personnel. <br /> <br />View recruiting video, the video can be found on U-tube by searching “Tukwila Police <br />Recruiting Video.” <br /> <br />Changes were made in the strategic plan so now it goes back to the consultant, then back to the <br />o <br />City Manager, Mayor and Council for their information.
