Fire Department Review <br />Control #M96 -0121 <br />(511) <br />Dear Sir: <br />City of Tukwila <br />Fire Department <br />September 26, 1996 <br />Re: Winners Restaurant - 17401 Southcenter Parkway <br />The attached set of building plans have been reviewed by <br />The Fire Prevention Bureau and are acceptable with the <br />following concerns: <br />1. H.V.A.C. units rated at greater than 2,000 cfm require <br />auto - shutdown devices. These devices shall be separately <br />zoned in the alarm panel and local U.L. central station <br />supervision is required. (City Ordinance #1742) <br />H.V.A.C. systems supplying air in excess of 2,000 <br />cubic feet per minute to enclosed spaces within <br />buildings shall be equipped with an automatic shutoff. <br />Automatic shutoff shall be accomplished by <br />interrupting the power source of the air - moving <br />equipment upon detection of smoke in the main <br />supply -air duct served by such equipment. Smoke <br />detectors shall be labeled by an approved agency for <br />air -duct installation and shall be installed in <br />accordance with the manufacturer's installation <br />instructions. (UMC 608) <br />2. Remote indicator lights are required on all above <br />ceiling smoke detectors. (City Ordinance #1742) <br />The installation of wiring and equipment shall be in <br />accordance with N.F.P.A. 70, Article 760, Fire <br />Protective Signaling Systems. (NFPA 72- 1-5.5.4) <br />in areas that are not continuously occupied, automatic <br />smoke detection shall be provided at each control <br />unit(s) location to provide notification of fire at <br />that location.
