While Tukwila's population increased nearly 60% from 1990 to <br />2011, the populations of Kent and Renton were up 210% and 120% respectively. Both Kent and Renton <br />completed major annexations during this time, but those annexations do not account for the majority of <br />the growth. <br />B. Daytime Growth <br />For every one person that lives in Tukwila, seven to eight people visit the City every day to work or shop. <br />Tukwila's daytime population is estimated to be between 150,000 to 170,000 persons, including <br />approximately 16 million shoppers a year to Westfield Southcenter, the largest mall in the Pacific <br />Northwest. <br />3 Economic Development Background Memo <br />39 <br />
