ARTS COMMISSION <br />MINUTES <br />Wғ; <br />r <br /> t ¦’ Ò‰ÞzŒ /š’’Ò“z·ä /;“·;© <br /> <br /> <br /> <br />Call to Order : Arts Commission Chair, Trisha Gilmore called the meeting to or <br /> <br />Attendance : Commissioners Cynthia Chesak, Brian Kennedy, Trisha Gilmore <br /> Staff Stephanie Gardner Parks and Recreation <br /> <br />Approval of Minutes : Minutes from the May 6, 2014 meeting were unanimously approve <br /> <br />Citizen Comment: There were no Citizen Comments <br /> <br />Business Items <br />Military Road Play Recap: Cynthia Chesak provided a re -cap of the Military Road play by Foster High <br />School Students. azŒz·©ä wš7 was an original play about the Duwamish Valley during 1855 to 1 <br />depicted the life of homesteaders at that time and the reasoning <br />further depicted how the creation of Military Road changed the l <br />the greater Seattle area. The script was a collaboration of Fos <br />playwright, Rachel Atkins. Performances were held on May 22 an <br />Center. Performances went very well. The entire process of dev <br />and performing was a wonderful experience for students. <br /> <br />Tukwila Village Art Selection: Brian Kennedy reported he attend <br />well, he was able to work with the review team to review three a <br />will be at Tukwila Village. <br /> <br />KCLS Art Selection: The KCLS <br />Tukwila Library artist selection meeting was held on May 19, 9:3 <br /> <br />the Tukwila Community Center.
