TUKWILA COMPREHENSIVE PLAN <br />Vision <br />protect the rights of present and future generations and achieve our community goals. We <br />encourage all members of the community to become actively involved in community affairs, and <br />we provide opportunities for participation in the decisions that affect them. <br />We Seek To Provide Opportunities For CitizenResidents <br />We believe that while individuals bear primary responsibility for themselves, -their communities <br />perform a vital role in providing a positive environment, support and growth opportunities. We <br />believe that many opportunities and services are best provided by non - profits, private businesses <br />and voluntary organizations. We encourage these efforts, partner with organizations that help <br />meet the basic needs of our residents and support Tukwila's active spirit of volunteerism. We <br />encourage the social and civic engagement of our older residents who are a tremendous <br />resource and have much to contribute to their communities.
