Commissioner Nguyen seconded the motion. All were in favor. <br />Chair Strander called the public hearing to order and swore in those wishing to testify. <br />At 6:30 PM Chair Strander opened the public hearing. <br />CASE NUMBER: <br />APPLICANT: <br />REQUEST: <br />LOCATION: <br />L14 -0042 <br />Matt Barker, Kimco Realty, B/O Parkway Supercenter <br />Master Sign Program Permit <br />Southcenter Parkway from Minkler BI to S. 180th St <br />Max Baker, Planning Intern, Department of Community Development asked the Commissioners <br />the appearance of fairness questions. There were no disclosures from the Commissioners. <br />Max Baker gave an overview of the project utilizing a PowerPoint presentation. He said, the <br />applicant is requesting approval of the project with the following three modifications under the <br />Master Sign Program: <br />• Allow two of their existing monument signs as grand monument signs. This would permit <br />the two existing grand monument signs to be considered conforming signs. <br />• Installation of one monument sign that does not comply with the standard "width" <br />requirement of 15 feet allowed under TMC 19.20.040 (4)), to allow a width of 16 feet. <br />• Flush mounted wall signs up to six percent of the exposed building face, up to a <br />maximum of 250 square feet. <br />The three proposed modifications will not meet the criteria unless approved under the Master <br />Sign Program. <br />Staff recommends approval of the three proposed modifications under the Master Sign <br />Program. <br />
