TUKWILA COMPREHENSIVE PLAN <br />Introduction <br />WHAT'S IN THE PLAN? <br />This Comprehensive Plan is designed to be a readable, functional document that <br />will guide Tukwila's development for the next 20 years. This Comprehensive <br />Plan has the dual responsibility to meet the goals and needs of Tukwila's current <br />and future G44&Rresidents and the fulfillment of its regional responsibilities in <br />growth management. <br />Plan Objectives <br />A glance at Tukwila's Comprehensive Plan will reveal that it touches on <br />every aspect of community life and development — from the character of <br />neighborhoods and standards of urban design to the restoration of areas <br />threatened with decline and the development of vibrant centers of economic life. <br />The Plan's essential function is to serve the G44eqresidents and business <br />community by providing guidelines for a safe, livable, economically viable <br />community with which they are proud to identify. and Whi ^h %A /H'The Plan will <br />provide a framework to allow Tukwila to respond dynamically to the changes that <br />are inevitable over the immediate long term. <br />The Plan is organized into several chapters, or elements, and goals and policies <br />have been developed for each element.
