ELECTION ON FORMATION OF TUKWILA POOL <br /> METROPOLITAN PARK DISTRICT (MPD) <br /> ELECTION DATE AUGUST 16, 2011 <br /> PRO AND CON COMMITTEES BEING FORMED <br /> On April 18, 2011, the Tukwila City Council adopted Resolution No. 1738 establishing the date <br /> for an election on the question of the formation of a Tukwila Pool Metropolitan Park District. <br /> Pro and Con Committees are being formed at this time. The committees will submit statements <br /> in favor of and in opposition to the ballot measure, as well as the rebuttal statement, for the local <br /> voters' pamphlet. The committees are responsible for following all guidelines and submitting <br /> information to King County Elections by the appropriate deadlines: <br /> Deadlines for August 16, 2011 Election <br /> Pro /Con Statements (for voters pamphlet) Due: June 1, 2011 to Bing County Elections <br /> Rebuttal Statements (for voters pamphlet) Due: June 3, 2011 to King County Elections <br /> If you would like to be a committee member advocating approval of the MPD or a committee <br /> member against the formation of the MPD, please contact the Tukwila Citv Clerk's Office at <br /> 206 433 -1800 by 4:00 n.m. on Wednesdav, Mav 18, 2011.
