Woodspring Suites Public Hearing Design Review (L15 -0042) <br />April 28, 2016 <br />Page 5 <br />a mix of commercial, light industrial, and hotel development. The site has good access to transportation: on- <br />and off- ramps of 1 -405 are located nearby; the Tukwila Station is within walking distance and provides access <br />to Sounder trains, Amtrak, and Metro bus service. The Interurban Trail is also within walking distance and a <br />new non - motorized bridge over the Green River will start construction in 2016justsouth of the Ramada <br />property. The new bridge will accommodate pedestrian and bicycle connections to the Green River Trail and <br />the Southcenter area of Tukwila. <br />Figure 3. The northwestern <br />corner of the site contains a portion of a wetland and its associated buffer where a 25 -20 foot area slopes <br />down steeply. <br />The site is primarily covered by grasses, including some that are native species. Other vegetation on the site, <br />as listed in the Critical Areas Report prepared for the applicant by Wetlands & Wildlife Environmental <br />Consulting, includes Balsam Poplar (Populus balsamifera), Sitka Willow (Salix sitchensis), Tatarian Dogwood <br />(Cornus alba), and Himalayan Blackberry (Rubus armeniacus). <br />
