DRAFT LTAC, May Minutes <br />May, 2016 <br />Page 2 <br />• Seattle Southside Regional Tourism Authority ($337,500) <br />Ashley Comar and Megan McGuire from Seattle Southside Regional Tourism Authority <br />(SSRTA) presented information about SSRTA, including past performance and goals for <br />2016. LTAC members asked questions regarding ROI and sales mission. <br />• Museum of Flight ($35,000) <br />Jeff Bauknecht, Museum of Flight presented information on the Museum of Flight, including <br />information on past attendance, projected 2016 attendance, information on Boeing's <br />centennial and how City funds would be used in 2016. <br />• Starfire Sports ($25,000) <br />Ben Oliver presented information on Starfire Sports, its mission, and how funds would be <br />used in 2016. <br />• City of Tukwila ($90,000) <br />Brandon Miles presented information on the City's revised application. He noted that the <br />new request is lower than what staff requested in March. The funds would be used to <br />develop a marketing plan, including a brand for day marketing. No funds would be used on <br />ad buys in 2016, expect the possibility of doing ad buys to complete user surveys. <br />7. 2016 Lodging Tax Applications Review and Decision — Council President Duffie asked for a vote <br />on the lodging tax applications. Owen Lienbach moved approval of all four applications (listed <br />above). Ben Oliver seconded the motion. The LTAC approved the motion 7 -0. <br />8. Standing Meetings — Brandon Miles proposed that LTAC agree to standing meetings in order to <br />have more predictability for members to plan their schedules. Standing meetings could be <br />canceled if not needed. LTAC members expressed consensus for standing monthly meetings. <br />Brandon Miles is to follow up with LTAC members to set dates. <br />9. Roundtable — Brandon Miles announced that Nicole Grubbs has resigned from the LTAC. Dan <br />Lee mentioned the recent articles naming the City of Tukwila as the most dangerous city in the <br />Country. The Committee discussed ideas on how to respond on this issue. <br />10.
