CITY OF TUKWILA <br /> NOTICE OF APPLICATION <br /> PROJECT INFORMATION <br /> Qwest Communications, Inc. has applied to construct a temporary overhead fiber optic <br /> cable that will cross the Green River Trail, Green River, and West Valley Highway. <br /> The temporary aerial crossing is proposed to remain in place for three years and is due to <br /> the potential flooding from the Green River and is related to the dysfunction of the Howard <br /> Hansen Dam. The temporary overhead crossing consists of approximately 425 feet of new <br /> buried conduit starting at Sperry Drive in Tukwila and a 325 foot long single span aerial <br /> crossing of the trail, river and highway. The eastern 70 feet of the aerial span and a utility <br /> pole is in the City of Kent Shoreline Environment (18123 72 Ave. S.) The remainder is <br /> within the City of Tukwila. <br /> Permits applied for include: Tukwila SEPA Decision (E11-005); <br /> Tukwila Shoreline Substantial Development Permit <br /> (L11-031); <br /> Other known required permits include: Tukwila PW11-050; Kent #SMA- 2011 -3; Kent <br /> KIVA #RPSP 2111251 <br /> Studies required with the applications include: Sensitive Area Study <br /> FILES AVAILABLE FOR PUBLIC REVIEW <br /> The application is available for review at the City of Tukwila, Department of Community <br /> Development (DCD), located at 6300 Southcenter Bled #100. <br /> OPPORTUNITY FOR PUBLIC COMMENT <br /> Your written comments on the project are requested.
