ATTACHMENT <br />TMC CHAPTER 18.52: Landscaping <br />18.52.010 <br />Purpose <br />18.52.020 <br />Landscaping Requirements by Zone District <br />18.52.030 <br />Landscaping Types <br />18.52.040 <br />Screening and Visibility <br />18.52.050 <br />Significant Tree Retention <br />18.52.060 <br />Plant Material Requirements and Tree Standards <br />18.52.070 <br />Soil Preparation, Planting and Irrigation <br />18.52.080 <br />Maintenance and Pruning <br />18.52.090 <br />Landscape Plan Requirements <br />18.52.100 <br />Procedures — Landscape Modifications and Violations <br />18.52.010 Purpose: <br />The purpose of this chapter is to establish minimum requirements for landscaping to: <br />• Implement the Urban Forestry Comprehensive Plan goals and policies by increasing tree <br />canopy throughout the city to improve air quality, promote the health of residents, visitors <br />and employees, and reduce heat islands and stormwater flows; <br />• Support the low impact development goals of the Comprehensive Plan and the City's <br />National Pollution Discharge Elimination System permit; <br />• Promote safety; <br />• Provide screening between incompatible land uses; <br />• Mitigate the adverse effects of development on the environment; <br />• Improve the visual environment for both residents and nonresidents; <br />• Regulate the protection of existing landscaping; <br />Eestablish requirements for the long -term maintenance of required landscaping and <br />• Establish procedures for modifying landscaping requirements and penalties for violations <br />of the landscaping code <br />18.52.020 Perimeter and Parking Landscaping Requirements by Zone District <br />A. In the various zone districts of the City, landscaping in the front, rear and side yards and <br />parking lots shall be provided as established by the various zone district chapters of this <br />title.
