CITY OF TUKWILA <br />• Materials to be collected: <br />- Appliances <br />- Refrigerators and Freezers* <br />- Ferrous Metals <br />- Non - ferrous Metals <br />- Tires* <br />- Mattresses <br />- Styrofoam <br />- Lead Acid Batteries <br />- Household Batteries <br />- Porcelain Toilets and Sinks* <br />- Propane Tanks* <br />- Cardboard <br />- Reusable Household Goods <br />- Textiles <br />- Used Motor Oil <br />- Used Motor Oil Filters <br />- Used Antifreeze <br />- Used Petroleum Based Products <br />- Electronic Equipment <br />( *User fees apply) <br />2017 -2018 W R/R GRANT <br />• The following educational materials will be distributed: <br />- Information on City Recycling Programs <br />- Local Hazardous Waste Management Plan Educational Materials produced by <br />King County Department of Natural Resources <br />- Other educational materials as appropriate. <br />• Event promotional methods: <br />- Promotional flyer mailed directly to Tukwila residents, and placed in info <br />stands at City Hall sites and Tukwila Community Center. <br />- Notices on Tukwila's website, social media, and cable channel (if available), <br />and "Tukwila Reporter" community newspaper <br />- Publicizing the event through the King County Solid Waste Division <br />Promotional Activities. <br />• Event staffing <br />- Key personnel will include City staff, consultant staff, and volunteers. <br />Experienced qualified individuals will fill the event greeter, education <br />personnel, and traffic control personnel positions. <br />d.
