This is a paid part- <br />time school year internship offering flexible hours that will range from a minimum of 4-hours per week, to <br />a maximum of 16-hours per week for ages 14-15, and a maximum of 20-hours per week for age 16 or <br />older. <br />A cover letter and resume must be attached zo your on-line application to be considered <br />complete. Please note that you cannot attach these items tmyour application after it has <br />been submitted. <br />In 2014, the Communications Division presented the City Communications Plan with the aim of <br />improving communications - both externally and internally - via a variety ofstrategies and tactics. This <br />High School Internship is an excellent opportunity for students with an interest in strategic <br />communications 1u support the work of this Communications Plan while gaining exposure to work in local <br />government. <br />The City of Tukwila embraces the diversity of the community it serves and is an Equal Employment <br />Opportunity Employer. <br />ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES: <br />The High School Student Intern will work under direct supervision and guidance based on previous <br />experience and interests. Duties may include: <br />• Assisting with suggestions for providing content for the City's Facebook and Twitter feeds; <br />°Participadng in the development and production of video and other digital media for various uses and <br />audiences; <br />° Talking with other City departments to determine new websitecontent; <br />• Assisting with review of current wubsiLe content and data to determine the best use of information; <br />• Maintain reasonable, predictable, and regular attendance. <br />KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS AND ABILITIES: <br />* Ability to express ideas clearly, both verbally and in writing; <br />° Ability to establish and maintain effective working relationships with City staff, business representatives <br />residents, and community groups; <br />entjobs.cvmxumvi|awa0ob-bu|ou^zfm?jumo~1a*z20maxxaregvvndow~n <br />1/2 <br />
