City of Tukwila <br />Allan Ekberg, Mayor <br />TO: Finance Committee <br />FROM: Laurel Humphrey, Council Analyst <br />CC: Mayor Ekberg , <br />DATE: March 10, 2017 <br />SUBJECT: Applications for the Public Safety Bond Financial Oversight Committee <br />ISSUE <br />The City Council is seeking to appoint membership of the Public Safety Bond Financial <br />Oversight Committee as authorized by Ordinance 2509 and Resolution 1892. <br />DISCUSSION <br />Resolution 1892 provides for a committee of five members including two residents, two <br />members from the business community and one at-large member. One resident and one <br />business representative will initially be appointed for a term of three years and the remaining <br />positions will be terms of two years. <br />The City has received nine applications for the Finance Committee's Review. <br />RECOMMENDATION <br />Staff recommends that the Finance Committee review the applications and make a <br />recommendation to the Committee of the Whole regarding the five-person membership of the <br />Public Safety Bond Financial Oversight Committee for discussion at its March 27, 2017 meeting <br />and the subsequent April 3, 2017 Regular Meeting for action. <br />ATTACHMENTS <br />Applications: <br />• <br />Andy Bell <br />• <br />Jun Castillo <br />• <br />Sean Goode <br />• <br />Jessica Jerwa <br />• <br />Scott Kruize <br />• <br />Steven Miller <br />• <br />Tory Peterson <br />• <br />Andy Reiswig <br />• <br />Wayne Werle <br />5 <br />
