BOARDS/COMMISSIONS APPLICATION FOR APPOINTMENT <br />Professional/Community Activities (organizations, clubs, service groups, etc): <br />I served as an employee of the YMCA for 7 years where I was committed to creating <br />opportunities for youth in at-risk communities throughout South King County. I <br />presently am the Executive Director for a non-profit that gives second chances to kids <br />involved with the juvenile justice system throughout King County. I also volunteered as <br />a Minister at Church By The Side Of The Road in Tukwila for 6 years. <br />Hobbies/interests: <br />I'm most passionate about my roles as Husband and Father. In addition to these I am actively engaged <br />in social justice issues particularly those who have a disproportionate amount of contact with community <br />and city services such as law enforcement. Beyond these things I love our local sports teams, playing <br />basketball, running and enjoying being outdoors. <br />Qualifications as related to this position: <br />In my previous role at the YMCA and my current role with CLRS I am responsible for being a steward of <br />both private and public funds and demonstrating accountability through regular reports measuring work <br />accomplished, challenges and anticipated outcomes.
