City of Tukwila Allan Ekberg, Mayor <br />Mayor's Office - David Cline, City Administrator <br />MEETING MINUTES <br />Lodging Tax Advisory Committee <br />11:30 a.m., Monday, December 5, 2016 <br />Tukwila City Hall <br />6200 Southcenter Blvd, Tukwila, WA; 98188 <br />COMMITTEE MEMBERS PRESENT <br />Council President Duffie, Ben Oliver, Daniel Lee, Owen Leinbach, Jim Davis, Jamie Randall <br />COMMITTEE MEMBERS ABSENT <br />Miesa Berry <br />CITY STAFF <br />Council Analyst Laurel Humphrey, Business Relations Manager Brandon Miles, Executive Assistant <br />Cheryl Thompson <br />OTHER ATTENDEES <br />Meagan McGuire and Kristina Thorne, Seattle Southside Regional Tourism Authority <br />Council President Duffie called the meeting to order at 11:35 a.m. <br />Welcome and Introductions — Council President Duffie welcomed attendees and each person <br />introduced themselves. <br />Approval of Agenda - Committee Members approved the agenda with a 6 -0 vote. <br />Funding Request: City of Tukwila for Seattle Sounders FC MLS Cup Events — Business Relations <br />Manager Brandon Miles presented an application for use of 2016 Lodging Tax Funds to plan potentially <br />two events to celebrate the Seattle Sounders FC making it to the MLS Cup: a sendoff celebration <br />before the match and a post- season event celebrating the team's accomplishments.
