Relationship of Structure to Site <br />a. The site should be planned to accomplish a desirable transition with the streetscape and to <br />provide for adequate landscaping and pedestrian movement. <br />Response: The site design will provide new shrubs and ground cover enhancements to the <br />existing tree lined area along South 128 street and East Marginal Way South. <br />b. Parking and service areas should be located, designed and screened to moderate the visual <br />impact of large paved areas. <br />Response: Existing parking is currently screened with perimeter trees and shrubs along all <br />edges. Additional shrubs and ground cover will be added to further enhance /moderate the <br />visual impact of parking area. <br />c. The height and scale of each building should be considered in relation to its site. <br />Response: Height and scale of new transportation building is in line with residential <br />buildings around existing site. <br />2. Relationship of Structure and Site to Adjoining Area <br />a. Harmony in texture, line and masses is encouraged. <br />Response: New transportation Building will have a residential scale in terms of mass. Is <br />lines and texture will draw upon our use of the typical exterior finishes used in residential <br />design. <br />b. Appropriate landscape transition to adjoining properties should be provided. <br />Response: Existing landscape will be enhanced with new shrubs and ground cover to <br />provide improved transitions to adjoining properties. <br />c. Public buildings and structures should be consistent with the established neighborhood <br />character. <br />Response: Design of new transportation building will have a residential design esthetic that <br />seeks to blend in with current neighborhood character. <br />rGYA <br />
