Call to Order: Chairperson Trisha Gilmore called the meeting to order at 5:00 p.m. <br />2. Attendance: Commissioners — Trisha Gilmore, Cynthia Chesak, Brian Kennedy, Sheila Coppola, Daniel <br />Humkey <br />Staff - Dave Johnson <br />3. Approval of Agenda: Cynthia Chesak moved to approve the amended agenda. Alex Villella seconded the <br />motion. Motion passed unanimously. <br />4. Approval of Minutes: Alex Villella moved to a <br />Chesak seconded the motion. Motion passed <br />S. Unfinished Business: <br />a. Art' Show Schedule — Staff and Commissioners reviewed the schedule for the upcoming Art Show <br />and Backyard Wildlife Festival and signed up for time slots. <br />b. Pianos on Parade — Commissioners reviewed the information and decided to look into it more <br />during the Summer. <br />c. Tukwila Village Update- Staff reported that the Art should be installed as previously reviewed by <br />the Commission a few years back, and reminded the Commission of the Library grand opening on <br />April 29th. <br />d. Arts Commission Bylaws - Staff asked for the Commissioners to review the by -laws and be <br />prepared to discuss them at the next meeting. <br />e. Website Review Staff asked the Commissioners to review the information on the website and <br />provide any comments, corrections, updates at the earliest convenience. <br />7. Committee Reports <br />a. Rainier Symphony — no report <br />b. Backyard Wildlife Art Show — see report above <br />c. Arts Promotion in Community - Commission will be reviewing website content. Commission will be <br />working a booth at the Backyard Wildlife Festival with a sign -up list for folks that are interested in <br />Art in Tukwila and /or folks that are artists in Tukwila. <br />d. Commission Reports — Commission reports included concern about the River of Life at the <br />Community Center, and arts facility space in Tukwila. <br />1 <br />
