Foster High plans <br />include the redevelopment and relocation of sports fields and the <br />elimination of portable classrooms. A Variance is requested to: <br />exceed the 30 ft. height limit in the LDR zone by 2 feet for portions <br />of Foster High and by 5 feet for portions of B2K, and to reduce the <br />parking requirement for Foster High from 440 spaces to 174. <br />LOCATION: 4242 S. 144th St and 4610 S. 142nd St.; APNs 1523049108 and <br />1523049164 <br />COMPREHENSIVE <br />PLAN AND ZONING LDR (Low Density Residential) with portions of Public Recreation <br />DESIGNATION: Overlay <br />SEPA DETERMINATION: A Mitigated Determination of Non - Significance (MDNS) was <br />issued by Tukwila School District on May 9, 2017. <br />NOTIFICATION: A combined Notice of Application was distributed by mail to <br />tenants and owners of property located within 500 feet of the <br />project site, and agencies that may have an interest in the project <br />on March 27, 2017. The Notice of Application was also posted on <br />site. As lead agency, Tukwila School District issued a Mitigated <br />Determination of Non - Significance on May 9, 2017. One comment <br />letter was received. <br />The Notice of Public Hearing was published in the Seattle Times <br />and mailed to surrounding property owners and tenants on June <br />9, 2017. The notice was posted onsite on June 8, 2017. <br />3 <br />
