Call to Order: Chairperson Trisha Gilmore called the meeting to order at 5:00 p.m. <br />2. Attendance: <br />Commissioners — Trisha Gilmore, Cynthia Chesak, Steve Mu11et, Helen Enguerra, Alex Villella, Daniel <br />Humkey <br />Absent — Brian Kennedy, Sheila Coppola <br />Guests — Yuri (Yuriko) Rollins <br />Staff — Tracy Gallaway, Linda Guinasso <br />3. Approval of Agenda: Steve Mullet added to a(enda! Introductions. Trisha il'nore moved to approve the <br />agenda. Steve Mullet seconded the motion. MotiN,passed unanimously. <br />4. Approval of Minutes: Cynthia Chesak moved to approve -he mended minutes of May, 2017 meeting. <br />Daniel Humkey seconded the motion. Motion passed un nimously. <br />S. Unfinished Business: <br />a. Arts Plan Update — Tracy Gallav5ay'\vill be,rpee ting with the Arts Master Plan Team the week of <br />June 26, 2017 to-discuss outreach for the months bf.July and,A st; she will follow up with a <br />tint Pine �� \� <br />b. Art Piec at City Hall Repo S —Tracy GaII y w II be m etin with Peggy McCarthy (Finance <br />Directo and ity Risk Manager) to discuss insurance for C ti y owned art acquisitions; she will follow <br />up with mote,inforrmatioon at next meeting. <br />V <br />6. New Business <br />Art from'Backvard V1�ildli e,Festival `Staffed \ommissioners discussed art at BWF, would like to <br />see art dis iilayethroughou;twarious lotions in the city. Tracy Gallaway will gather information <br />for the next meetin4.; howmuch \�art is worth, art available for purchase, do we have funds available <br />far��purchase, budgetNity insured`as well as email art photos to Brian Kennedy and Sheila Coppola. <br />Kabbom — Staff and�Commissioners reviewed flyer. Tracy Gallaway will meet with Stephanie <br />Gardnr��regarding w \at he needs help with, as well as set up information (tent, PA sound system, <br />stag44or Alex Villella - <br />c. Process for atceptin proposals for funding — Add to Arts Master Plan list, add to our next agenda <br />what we hake a'r(aady spent and where our money has gone to. Commissioners request for choir, <br />how it will befitthe community and what the process is of our money; Tracy Gallaway will <br />provide information at next meeting. <br />7. Committee Reports <br />a. Rainier Symphony — Final concert was last weekend in June, Pops, it was a full house minus 20 open <br />seats. Commissioners discussed issues regarding patrons walking in and out during concert being <br />disruptive; symphony needs to monitor. Staff and Commissioners suggested hand out free tickets <br />to schools, other community resources for musical instruction at schools and companies. <br />b.
