City Council Transportation & Infrastructure Committee <br />TRANSPORTATION & INFRASTRUCTURE COMMITTEE <br />Meeting Minutes <br />June 27,2017- 5:30 p.m. - Foster Conference Room, 6300 Building <br />Councilmembers: Kate Kruller, Chair; Joe Duffie, De'Sean Quinn <br />Staff: Robin Tischmak, Bob Giberson, Gail Labanara, Ryan Larson, Laurel Humphrey <br />CALL TO ORDER: Chair Kruller called the meeting to order at 5:30 p.m. <br />I. PRESENTATIONS <br />II. BUSINESSAGENDA <br />There was consensus to consider the Waterworks Grant Application as the last item of business. <br />A. Supplemental Agreement: 2017 Annual Small Drainage Program <br />Staff is seeking Council approval of Supplemental Agreement No.1 to Contract No. 17 -041 with <br />KPG, Inc. in the amount of $79,873.16 for construction management services for the 2017 <br />Annual Small Drainage Program. KPG, Inc. designed the program and was deemed the most <br />qualified of three firms that were evaluated. APPROVAL. FORWARD TO JULY 17, 2017 <br />REGULAR CONSENT AGENDA. <br />B. Bid Award: Baker Boulevard Non - Motorized Improvement Project <br />Staff is seeking Council approval of a contract with Road Construction Northwest in the amount <br />of $799,143.00 for construction of the Baker Boulevard Non - Motorized Improvements Project. <br />Road Construction Northwest was the lowest bidder and has completed two recent <br />construction projects in the City. The project will construct bike lanes and a road diet on Baker <br />Boulevard from Andover Park West to Christensen Road. Reconstruction of sidewalk access <br />ramps at Andover Park East and Baker Boulevard was included as well in anticipation of better <br />bids and cost savings. UNANIMOUS APPROVAL. FORWARD TO JULY 17, 2017 REGULAR <br />CONSENTAGENDA. <br />Councilmember Quinn recused himself from consideration of the next item and left the meeting <br />room. <br />C. Grant Application: Water Quality Testing at Riverton, Southgate and Gilliam Creeks <br />Staff is seeking Committee approval to apply for a King County Wastewater Treatment Division <br />Waterworks grant to fund water quality testing at Riverton, Southgate and Gilliam Creeks. If <br />awarded, grant proceeds will be used to collect and analyze one year of data at three locations <br />within each creek in order to identify water quality deficiencies. The City match of $9,500 is <br />available from the Storm Water Quality Retrofit Program and would be used for staff project <br />management whereas the grant funds would go toward a water quality science firm. MAJORITY <br />COMMITTEE APPROVAL. <br />
