Transportation & Infrastructure Committee Minutes........................................................................................... August 15, 2017 <br />D. Grant Application: National Pollutant Discharge Elimination System (NPDES) <br />Staff is seeking Committee approval to apply for the 2017-2019 Municipal Stormwater Capacity - <br />Building Grant for NPDES and stormwater project funding. The Department of Ecology has <br />notified Tukwila that $50,000 grants will be awarded to all NPDES municipal permittees with <br />projects supporting permit compliance. No City match is required. UNANIMOUS APPROVAL. <br />III. MISCELLANEOUS <br />Committee members and staff discussed status on several projects around the City. Councilmember <br />Quinn indicated that he has heard both support and opposition to the speed cushions on South 160th <br />Street, and asked how to respond to residents of other neighborhoods that would like to have them <br />in their neighborhood. Staff replied that criteria would be developed and the Committee will be <br />briefed. Chair Kruller asked why a recent Transportation related grant went through the Finance <br />Committee and staff replied it was a matter of timing and the Chair should have been informed. <br />Chair Kruller also mentioned that Robin Mayhew is goingto work for WSDOT. She also recently spoke <br />to a representative from Amazon and promoted the benefits of relocating any of their business or <br />business offices to Tukwila. <br />The Transportation Committee Meeting adjourned at 6:18 p.m. <br />Committee Chair Approval <br />Minutes by LH, reviewed by GL <br />
