<br /> PROCLAMATION
<br /> WHEREAS, Mike West has been one of the key leaders on the Highway 99 Action
<br /> D Committee, formed in 1995, and which later became known as the Tukwila International
<br /> Boulevard Action Committee TIBAC); and
<br /> WHEREAS, Mikes role on TIBAC has been integral in improving the overall safety
<br /> and appearance of an important area of the City by demonstrating a citizen's presence
<br /> along Tukwila International Boulevard, by leading efforts to remove trash and debris,
<br /> and serving as a positive example for the business community;
<br /> WHEREAS, Mike and Donna Wests' business, Southtowne Auto Rebuild, located at
<br /> 14864 Tukwila International Boulevard, has been a steadfast presence on the Highway, is
<br /> an environmental steward within the City, and has consistently delivered the highest
<br /> '7Z.. level of professional and high quality service to its customers for over 39 years;
<br /> WHEREAS, Mike West has served as past president of the Southwest King County
<br /> Chamber of Commerce, has been a long standing Commissioner on the Valley View
<br /> Sewer District, and has been an active contributor in helping improve the quality of life in
<br /> our City;

<br /> WHEREAS, as longtime citizens of Tukwila and with over three decades as
<br /> volunteers throughout the Tukwila community, the Wests' have exemplified the spirit of
<br /> "volunteerism" through their selflessness and service; c
<br /> NOW, THEREFORE, I, JIM HAGGERTON, MAYOR of Tukwila, do hereby
<br /> proclaim the City's most sincere APPRECIATION this 9th day of July, 2011 to
