<br />8.New Business <br /> <br />a.Special Event Promotions – Staff introduced this item as a follow-up to the previous meeting’s <br /> <br />discussion on Arts Promotion in the Community, specifically related to tabling at Special Events. <br />There are a number of opportunities for promotion in the community. Staff suggests a table at the <br />following events: Backyard Wildlife Festival (May 13), See You in the Park (July 12), Touch a Truck <br />(July 29), See You in the Park (August 9), Kids Festival (August 18), and Autumn Harvest Carnival <br />(October 26). There was considerable discussion about activities, flyer to distribute, and handouts. <br />The Commission decided on coloring bookmarks. Staff indicated that they would order the <br />bookmarks. There was also discussion about the development of an Arts Commission logo, and a <br />desire to move away from the temporary logo. Dori Sherer volunteered to put together some <br />drawings and Daniel Humkey volunteered to digitize them. Staff noted the timing of new logo <br />development related to ordering the bookmarks for the first event, and if the new logo isn’t <br />finished in time, the bookmarks will be ordered with the temporary logo on it. <br /> <br />9.Committee Reports <br /> <br />Due to the lateness of the meeting and other commitments, committee reports were deferred to <br />next meeting. <br /> <br />10.Other <br /> <br />a.No report <br /> <br /> <br /> <br />Adjournment: The meeting was adjourned at 6:35 p.m. <br /> <br /> <br /> <br /> <br /> <br />
