City of Tukwila <br />INFORMATIONAL MEMORANDUM <br />TO: Transportation and Infrastructure Committee <br />FROM: Robin Tischmak, Acting Public Works Director <br />BY: Mike Cusick, Senior Program Manager <br />CC: Mayor Ekberg <br />DATE: October 20, 2017 <br />SUBJECT: Water Reservoir and Pump Station <br />Project No. 91240102 <br />Consultant Selection and Agreement for 2017 <br />ISSUE <br />Approve Carollo Engineers for the Water Reservoir and Pump Station Study. <br />Allan Ekberg, Mayor <br />BACKGROUND <br />The Washington State Department of Health is requiring that the City provide additional water <br />storages and this project will study the possibility of using Highline's CrestView Reservoir's <br />extra capacity instead of building a new reservoir. <br />ANALYSIS & FISCAL IMPACT <br />The City invited Requests for Professional Qualifications (RPQ) from five consulting firms that <br />were listed in the Municipal Research and Services Center's Consultant Roster. Only one RPQ <br />was received for the Water Reservoir and Pump Station project from Carollo Engineers.
