lla <br />INFORMATIONAL MEMORANDUM <br />TO: Transportation and Infrastructure Committee <br />FROM: Robin Tischmak, Acting Public Works Director k� <br />BY: Mike Cusick, Senior Program Manager <br />DATE: October 20 2017 <br />SUBJECT: Fort Dent Park BNSF Sewer Relocation -Design <br />Project No. 91530101, Contract No. 15-054 <br />Amendment No. 3 <br />ISSUE <br />Approve Amendment No. 3 with KPFF Consulting Engineers (KPFF), Inc. <br />Allan Ekberg, Mayor <br />BACKGROUND <br />In 2015, the City contracted with KPFF to design the relocation of the sanitary sewer force main <br />required by BNSF as the railroad is adding a third set of tracks. <br />DISCUSSION <br />KPFF omitted from their original project scope the cathodic protection of the steel casing under the <br />BNSF tracks that is required by the railroad.
