Finance Committee Minutes December5, 2017 <br />III. MISCELLANEOUS <br />1. Staff is seeking Committee approval to purchase a replacement for an outdated elliptical <br />machine at the Community Center in the amount of $5,690. This is a capital purchase not <br />specifically called out in the Budget, so per the City's policy requires Committee <br />approval. UNANIMOUS APPROVAL. <br />2. Staff updated the Committee on the status of the project to update the City's impact fees. The <br />model provided by Berk is being reviewed and policy considerations are being evaluated. A <br />proposed ordinance will be prepared for Council consideration in 2018. <br />3. Staff updated the committee on the Port of Seattle's new SEA Stakeholder Advisory Round Table <br />(STArT) intended to enhance cooperation between the Port and neighboring communities. The <br />round table will include participation from the FAA. The City of Tukwila will have two community <br />positions available and will start recruiting now in order to fill the positions in early 2018. The <br />appointments will be presented for Council confirmation, and Councilmembers are encouraged <br />to suggest good candidates as well. <br />Adjourned at 6:10 p.m. <br />Committee Chair Approval <br />M►nfites by LH <br />
