October 13 will be his last day here. <br /> <br /> <br />Still a bit down in staffing <br /> <br /> <br />Body cam program still in progress <br /> <br /> <br />Ten from TPD attended the Police/Fire games. <br /> <br /> <br />On Monday a City Council there will be a presentation at City Council <br />about this. <br /> <br /> <br />Recruiting Officer Masters put together a booth for recruiting and <br />officers who competed also worked the booth when not competing <br />and had expenses to LA paid by TPD. <br /> <br /> <br />Second largest sporting event in the world, 10,000 athletes from <br />around the world. TPD had the largest north American team. <br /> <br /> <br />Many officers expressed interest in joining TPD at the games and two <br />of the are being processed for hiring <br /> <br /> <br />International Law Enforcement Forum, what is it? Chief Villa has been a <br />member for about 12 year. It is a think tank to look at less lethal methods in <br />use and discuss plusses and minuses of each types. The produce a journal with <br />standards for manufacturers. They also work with the Marine Corps and a lot <br />of with Ireland. <br /> <br />th <br /> <br />The afternoon of October 12 will be the farewell for Chief Villa.
