The event was widely promoted and intended to be family <br />itors, and create a <br />branding experience. The event cost $15,115, less than the $25,000 originally awarded from the <br />lodging tax fund. DISCUSSION ONLY. <br />2018 Lodging Tax Preview <br />B. <br />Staff provided an overview of lodging tax and tourism related activities expected in 2018, <br />including: <br />Opening of Hotel Interurban/Airmark Apartments (formerly known as Washington <br />Place) <br />Opening of Pedestrian/Bicycle Bridge <br />Major League Rugby Team, Seattle Seawolves, at Starfire Sports <br />Brand deployment, including wayfinding/signage opportunities and collaborative <br />advertising <br />Sounders Rave Green 5k Run <br />Firefighter Combat Challenge <br />50 Anniversary of the Southcenter District <br />th <br />DISCUSSION ONLY. <br />II.MISCELLANEOUS <br />Adjourned 5:50 p.m. <br />Committee Chair Approval <br />Minutes by LH <br />
