Permit Application. Prior to any tree removal, site clearing or work within the <br />Critical Root Zone, a Tree Permit application must be submitted to the Department of <br />Community Development containing the following information: <br />1. Site Plan of the proposal showing: <br />a. Diameter, species name, location and canopy of existing Significant <br />Trees in relation to proposed and existing structures, utility lines, and construction limit <br />line; <br />and <br />b. Identification of all Significant Trees to be removed and/or relocated; <br />c. Existing and proposed topography of the site at 2-foot contour intervals; <br />d. Limits of any sensitive area and sensitive area buffer and/or shoreline <br />jurisdiction. <br />2. Landscape Plan for the proposal showing: <br />a. Diameter, species name, spacing and location of replacement trees to <br />ME=, <br />b. Diameter, species name and location of all Significant Trees to be <br />retained; and <br />c. Vegetation protection measures consistent with the criteria in TMC <br />Section 18.54.060. <br />3. Professional review or recommendation. All Tree Permits shall require a <br />Qualified Tree Professional report unless otherwise stated in this chapter, or when the <br />Director determines that tree clearing, site clearing or work within the Critical Root Zones <br />may result in adverse impacts requiring remedial measures. A Qualified Tree <br />Professional report is not required for the permitted removal of trees, other than Heritage <br />Trees, on a lot zoned Low Density Residential and improved with a single-family dwelling. <br />Third party review of the report or recommendation may be required.
