ADVISORY VOTE SOCIAL CARD ROOMS ELECTION DATE NOVEMBER 8, 2011 PRO AND CON COMMITTEES BEING FORMED On August 15, 2011, the Tukwila City Council adopted Resolution No. 1745 establishing the date for an election on the question of whether to allow social card rooms in Tukwila. Pro and Con Committees are being formed at this time. The committees will submit statements in favor of and in opposition to the ballot measure, as well as the rebuttal statement, for the local voters' pamphlet. The committees are responsible for following all guidelines and submitting information to King County Elections by the appropriate deadlines: Deadlines for November 8, 2011 Election Pro /Con Statements (for voters pamphlet) Due: August 24, 2011 to Bing County Elections Rebuttal Statements (for voters pamphlet) Due: August 26, 2011 to King County Elections If you would like to be a committee member in support of allowing social card rooms in Tukwila or a committee member against allowing social card rooms in Tukwila, please contact the Tukwila Citv Clerk's Office at 206 433 -1800 by 4:00 D.m. on Thursday. August 18, 2011. Please be prepared to provide your name, address, phone number, and email address and /or fax number. After the committee member names are submitted to the County, King County Elections will be their contact for the rest of the process, including the submittal of pro /con statements and rebuttals.
