A 3 -story blank wall, even if at the narrow end of <br />a building, does not reflect acceptable design quality. <br />Architectural relief and fine detailing should be used <br />to break up monotonous surfaces. <br />12. Avoid applied ornamentation which is not related <br />to building structure or architectural design. This <br />would include arbitrary, inconsistent forms and <br />decoration; uninterrupted floating horizontal <br />elements; and large blank surfaces. <br />13. All exterior maintenance equipment, including <br />HVAC, equipment, storage tanks, satellite dishes, and <br />garbage dumpsters should be screened from off-site <br />and on-site common area view, in an architecturally <br />integrated manner. <br />18 <br />
