Commissioner Watters <br />stated that she feels the recreation standards should be kept at 400 square feet per <br />unit for the following reasons:to maintain a certain level of canopy; because <br />nearby; more access for outdoor exercise andmental healthfor adults. <br />Commissioners <br />Strander, Hansen,Maestas,Martinez,and Mann wereallin consensus <br />recommendation of option number 2for recreation space.Commissioner Maestas commentedhe <br />encouragesmaximum spaceutilization for residents.Commissioner Manncommentedshe hopes the <br />applicant will be accountable andcommit to what they have agreed. <br />Commissioner Martinez <br />expressed concerns regarding the parking but said he could probably live with it. <br />Commissioner Mannalsoexpressedconcerns with the parking. <br />MOTIONS: <br />Recreation SpaceRequirements: <br />Commissioner Mann made a motion to approve Case Number L18-0032, Code Amendment <br />finding, conclusions, and recommendation for option 2. CommissionerHansenseconded the motion. Five <br />were in favor.Commissioner Watters opposed. <br />Commission Maestas made a motion to adopt numbers 2, 3, and 4 under TMC 18.14.030to maintain <br />Recreation Space requirements(These include 50% has to be outdoors and 25% has to be for 5-12 year olds). <br />Commissioner Hansen seconded the motion. All were in favor. <br />ParkingRequirements: <br />Commissioner Maestas made a motion to approve Case Number L18-0032, Code Amendment <br />finding, conclusions, and recommendation for option number 2. Commissioner Hansen seconded the motion. <br />Five were in favor. Commissioner Mann opposed. <br />Commissioner Strander made a motion toadopt the proposedBasic Development Standardsand the Multi- <br />Family Design Manual.Commissioner Maestas seconded the motion.
