City of Tukwila <br />Allan Ekberg, Mayor <br />Public Works Department - Henry Hash, Director <br />INFORMATIONAL MEMORANDUM <br />TO: Transportation and Infrastructure Committee <br />FROM: Henry Hash, Public Works Director hi' <br />BY: Bryan Still, Operations Manager <br />CC: Mayor Ekberg <br />DATE: July 6, 2018 <br />SUBJECT: Resolution to Surplus City Equipment for 2018 <br />ISSUE <br />Approve Resolution authorizing the sale of surplus equipment no longer needed by the City. <br />ANALYSIS/FISCAL IMPACT <br />The Fleet Department has identified 22 pieces of equipment that have outlived their service <br />life and are no longer needed by the City. These items still operate, but in some cases <br />require extensive repairs and are no longer used by the City or too costly to overhaul. <br />All of the pieces of equipment are fully depreciated and are currently valued at $47,300.00. <br />Selling these pieces of equipment at auction in an "as is" condition is now the most practical <br />solution for disposal. <br />RECOMMENDATION <br />Council is being asked to approve the Resolution declaring the 22 pieces of equipment as <br />surplus and authorizing their sale and to consider this item on the Consent Agenda of the July <br />16, 2018 Regular Council Meeting. <br />Attachments Draft Resolution <br />Exhibit A Surplus Equipment Spreadsheet & Photos <br />W\Shxed Copy OnlytJeff Morton - Flee62018 Auction & Se1112018 Auc8on11nfo Memo 2018 Surplus Equipment 061116.docx <br />7 <br />
