City of Tukwila <br />Allan Ekberg, Mayor <br />INFORMATIONAL MEMORANDUM <br />TO: City Council <br />FROM: Mayor Ekberg <br />DATE: May 21, 2018 <br />SUBJECT: Human Services Advisory Board Appointments <br />ISSUE <br />The Human Services Advisory Board currently has two vacancies. While the positions are <br />currently vacant, it would be a challenge to appoint new members in the midst of the 2019-2020 <br />Request for Proposal process. Therefore, I am recommending the following applicants be <br />appointed to the Board in August 2018. A copy of the application for each new appointee is <br />attached. <br />Human Services Advisory Board <br />Position #4: This community position is currently vacant. I am recommending the appointment <br />of Sharon Baker-Myklebust to Position #4. The term for this position expires <br />December 31, 2019. <br />Position #6: This business community position is currently vacant. I am recommending the <br />appointment of David Traub of Rainier Industries to Position #6. The term for this <br />position expires December 31, 2020. <br />RECOMMENDATION <br />I am recommending the appointments listed above be confirmed by Council at the August 6, <br />2018 Council Meeting. <br />5 <br />
