Page 4 <br />Public Hearing Minutes <br />August 23,2018 <br />CASE NUMBER: L18-0045 Zoning Code Amendments <br />APPLICANT:City of Tukwila <br />REQUEST: Deliberation onregulations for short term residential rentals (less <br />than 30 days) and updates to associated regulations for boarding <br />houses, bed and breakfast lodging and residential rental unit <br />licensing. <br />LOCATION:Citywide <br />There were only fourcommissioners in attendance and they were in consensus to delay hearingthe <br />short-term rental regulations due to the low PC turnout.Due to thebusyPCschedule staff does not <br />know when this item will come back to the Commission. <br />CommissionerWatterssaidshefeels uncomfortable decidingwithout more Commissioners <br />becauseShe saidandit is very disappointing to delay it. She <br />said there are people struggling to pay their mortgageand stay in their house, andthat itdoes <br />matter,and this could help. She also said she was curious to know what Council would prefer they <br />did. <br />: <br />There was discussion on attendance. There was a request toaddress the issueat a meeting <br />soon, because continued absencesarebecoming a problem.There was also a request for a <br />copy of the attendance definition. <br />Staff provided an update on thePC schedule for the remainderof the year. <br />CommissionersMartinez,Mann, and Wattersattended the tour of previously approved <br />projects with staff in August.
