tr-,, .a <br /> {F <br /> NOTE: Underlined text denotes revisions made <br /> since the 11-13-18 Committee of the <br /> Whole meeting (and Public Hearing). <br /> AN ORDINANCE OF THE CITY COUNCIL OF <br /> THE CITY OF TUKWILA, WASHINGTON; <br /> ADOPTING THE BIENNIAL BUDGET OF THE <br /> CITY OF TUKWILA FOR THE 2019-2020 <br /> BIENNIUM; PROVIDING FOR SEVERABILITY; <br /> AND ESTABLISHING AN EFFECTIVE DATE. <br /> WHEREAS, the preliminary budget of the City of Tukwila for the 2019-2020 biennium <br /> was submitted to the City Council in a timely manner for their review; and <br /> WHEREAS, a Public Hearing on the proposed budget was advertised and held on <br /> November 13, 2018; and <br /> WHEREAS, as budget oversight is one of its key legislative responsibilities, the City <br /> Council conducted a thorough process to deliberate the proposed 2019-2020 biennial <br /> budget; and <br /> WHEREAS, this process included review by all standing Council Committees, special <br /> Budget Work Sessions, and a series of budget panels to consider additional modifications <br /> suggested by the Administration and the Council to ensure a balanced budget; and <br /> WHEREAS, the City Council desires to make modifications to the Mayor's proposed <br /> 2019-2020 budget in Fund 104, Bridges and Arterial Streets; and Fund 000, General <br /> Fund; <br /> NOW, THEREFORE, THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF TUKWILA, <br /> WASHINGTON, HEREBY ORDAINS AS FOLLOWS: <br /> Section 1. The City Council hereby amends the Mayor's proposal and adopts the <br /> document entitled "City of Tukwila 2019-2020 Biennial Budget," incorporated by this <br /> reference as if fully set forth herein, in accordance with RCW 35A.34.120. <br /> Section 2.
