City of Tukwila <br />Allan Ekberg, Mayor <br />INFORMATIONAL MEMORANDUM <br />TO: City Council <br />FROM: Mayor Ekberg <br />DATE: December 13, 2018 <br />SUBJECT: Boards and Commissions Appointments and Reappointments <br />ISSUE <br />There are several positions on the City's Boards and Commissions with terms that expire <br />December 31, 2018. <br />Arts Commission <br />Position #1: Noe Rodriguez has been serving in this position since June 4, 2018 and is <br />interested in continuing to serve in this capacity. I am recommending he be <br />reappointed for an additional term. His new term will expire December 31, 2022. <br />Position #2: Sheila Coppola has been serving in this position since May 16, 2016 and is <br />interested in continuing to serve in this capacity. I am recommending she be <br />reappointed for an additional term. Her new term will expire December 31, 2022. <br />Community Policing Citizens Advisory Board <br />Position #2: Kimberly Karnes has been serving in this position since September 6, 2011 and <br />is interested in continuing to serve in this capacity. I am recommending she be <br />reappointed for an additional term. Her new term will expire December 31, 2022. <br />Position #5: Tosh Sharp has been serving in this position since June 4, 2018 and is interested <br />in continuing to serve in this capacity. I am he be reappointed for an additional <br />term. His new term will expire December 31, 2022. <br />Equity and Social Justice Commission <br />Position #4: Nora Gierloff has been serving in this position since September 5, 2017 and is <br />interested in continuing to serve in this capacity. I am recommending she be <br />reappointed for an additional term. Her new term will expire December 31, 2020. <br />Position #5: Nichelle Page has been serving in this position since October 16, 2017 and is <br />interested in continuing to serve in this capacity. I am recommending she be <br />reappointed for an additional term. Her new term will expire December 31, 2020. <br />Position #6: Joe Duffie has been serving in this position since August 5, 2018 and is <br />interested in continuing to serve in this capacity. I am recommending he be <br />reappointed for an additional term. His new term will expire December 31, 2020. <br />Position #9: Dat Tran has been serving in this positions since November 6, 2016 and is <br />interested in continuing to serve in this capacity. I am recommending he be <br />reappointed for an additional term. His new term will expire December 31, 2020. <br />Human Services Advisory Board <br />Position #3: This position will be vacant effective January 1, 2019. I am recommending the <br />appointment of Jamila Farole to this position. A copy of her application is <br />attached. The term for this position will expire December 31, 2021. <br />Position #7: Jan Bolerjack has been serving in this position since May 4, 2009 and is <br />interested in continuing to serve in this capacity. I am recommending she be <br />reappointed for an additional term. Her new term will expire December 31, 2021. <br />5 <br />
