Transportation & Infrastructure Committee Minutes February 20, 2019 <br />requested that staff provide a breakdown of investments by date and by neighborhood so that the <br />information is available to the public and easily referenced by Council. DISCUSSION ONLY. <br />B. Grant Acceptance: 2019-2020 King County Solid Waste Recycling <br />Staff is seeking Council approval for the Mayor to enter into an interagency agreement with the King <br />County Solid Waste Division to accept $67,311 in grant funding for the 2019-2020 Tukwila Recycling <br />Program. Funding for this cycle will be distributed as follows: <br />• <br />• <br />• <br />• <br />Residential Recycling Collection Events: $7,400 <br />Commercial/Multifamily Recycling: $54,000 <br />Residential Program - Rain Barrels, Compost Bins and Worm Bins: $2,411 <br />Residential Program - Tukwila Community Garage Sale: $3,500 <br />The Tukwila Recycling Program is 100% grant funded and includes residential and business recycling <br />opportunities and other special collection events. Staff provided a report on the program's activities <br />last year. UNANIMOUS APPROVAL. FORWARD TO MARCH 4, 2019 REGULAR CONSENT AGENDA. <br />C. SCATBd/RTC <br />There was no report. <br />D. MISCELLANEOUS <br />Project Updates <br />On February 19, 2019, the City Council approved a contract with Westwater Construction Company for <br />the pedestrian crossings on TIB near S. 140th and S. 141st St. Completion is estimated by June 1. <br />Staff will be proposing to renew the contract with Waste Management due to the low residential rates <br />and this will be coming through Committee in 2019. <br />The Transportation Committee Meeting adjourned at 6:32 p.m. <br />Committee Chair Approval <br />ZI <br />Minutes by LH <br />
