Office of the Mayor <br />City of Tukwila, Washington <br />PROCLAMATION <br />WHEREAS, the Municipal Clerk, a time honored and vital part of local <br />government exists throughout the world; and <br />WHEREAS, the Municipal Clerk profession is the oldest among public <br />servants; and <br />WHEREAS, the Municipal Clerk provides a professional link between <br />residents, the local governing bodies and agencies of government at other levels; and <br />WHEREAS, Municipal Clerks have pledged to be ever mindful of their <br />neutrality and impartiality, rendering equal service to all; and <br />WHEREAS, the Municipal Clerk serves as the information center on functions <br />of local government and community; and <br />WHEREAS, it is most appropriate that we acknowledge the accomplishments <br />of our own City Clerk's Office; <br />NOW THEREFORE, I, Allan Ekberg, Mayor of the City of Tukwila, do <br />hereby proclaim May 5 — 11, 2019 as: <br />Municipal Clerk's Week <br />in the City of Tukwila in recognition of our outstanding City Clerk's Office. <br />Presented this sixth day of May, 2019. <br />Allan Ekberg, Mayor <br />
