Transportation & Infrastructure Committee Minutes September4, 2019 <br />between 60-79, two rated between 40-59, and three rated 39 or less. The sufficiency rating <br />formula considers the structural adequacy, functional obsolescence, level of service, and <br />essentiality for public use. Committee members and staff discussed the Boeing Access <br />Road/Airport Way bridge, Boeing Access Road/BNSF bridge, 42nd Avenue South bridge, the <br />South 119 St. ped bridge, and the potential for a new BNSF access bridge. Staff will report back <br />to Committee with results of the federal grant for the replacement of the 42nd Avenue South <br />Bridge, which is rated structurally deficient. Committee members expressed great concern <br />over the bridge's deficiency and would like to act soon. DISCUSSION ONLY. <br />II. MISCELLANEOUS <br />Staff will bring the Master Plan for the new Public Works Shops facility to the Committee of the <br />Whole along with financing options. <br />Chair Idan stated that because of a lack of agenda items, he would like to use the September 17, <br />2019 Committee meeting time to allow members to tour the Heiser building, which is the future site <br />of the new shops. <br />Chair Idan stated that the Committee expects to discuss traffic calming alternatives around the <br />vicinity of the schools on S. 144th St, which was requested by the Council during the discussion on <br />traffic cameras.
