WHEREAS, it has been determined that a variance is the minimum necessary, <br />considering the flood hazard, to afford relief; and <br />WHEREAS, Starfire Sports has shown good and sufficient cause for a variance; and <br />WHEREAS, the federal standard (dry-floodproofing) would cause an exceptional <br />financial hardship to Starfire Sports; and <br />WHEREAS, the improvements will not be located within a floodway; and <br />WHEREAS, the criteria set forth in 44 CFR 60.6(a) of FIA Regulations has been met; <br />NOW, THEREFORE, THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF TUKWILA, <br />WASHINGTON, HEREBY RESOLVES AS FOLLOWS: <br />Section 1. The above Whereas recitals are herein adopted as Findings of Fact. <br />Section 2. The City of Tukwila Public Works Department is hereby authorized to <br />grant a flood zone permit allowing the use of wet-floodproofing for modifications to the <br />existing Starfire Athletic Center.
