PRESENTATIONS <br />II. BUSINESSAGENDA <br />A. Resolution: Hearing Examiner Appointment <br />Staff is seeking Council approval of a resolution that would appoint Sound Law Center, LLC. <br />As the City's Hearing Examiner to preside over hearings related to land use, code <br />enforcement, police forfeitures, and other matters. The accompanying agreement is for a <br />period ending July 1, 2022 and for an hourly rate of $175. Hearing Examiner costs are <br />covered either as permit application fees or a pass through to the applicant. UNANIMOUS <br />APPROVAL. FORWARD TO NOVEMBER 18, 2019 REGULAR CONSENTAGENDA. <br />B. 2019 Kin County ounty Minor Home Repair Program <br />Staff is seeking Council approval for the Mayor to sign a contract with King County for <br />$110,000 in Community Development Block Grant funds for the 2019 Minor Home Repair <br />Program. This program is administered by the Office of Human Services and provides home <br />repair services to low and moderate income homeowners. Tukwila serves as the fiscal agent <br />for the contract which also includes Des Moines, Covington and SeaTac. Staff distributed a <br />corrected version of the contract. UNANIMOUS APPROVAL. FORWARD TO NOVEMBER 18, <br />2019 REGULAR CONSENT AGENDA. <br />C. Ordinance: Moratorium within Tukwila International Boulevard Studv Area <br />Staff is seeking Council approval to renew the existing moratorium in the Tukwila <br />International Boulevard study area which is set to expire on January 10, 2020. Doing so will <br />allow maintenance of the land use status quo until the City completes its review and <br />adoption of zoning code changes that will reflect the Comprehensive Plan's vision and <br />recommendations from the Congress for New Urbanism. UNANIMOUS APPROVAL. <br />FORWARD TO NOVEMBER 25, 2019 COMMITTEE OF THE WHOLE. <br />
