Linton, Chief <br />COPCAB Minutes <br />February 13, 2020 <br />6:30pm — 8:OOpm <br />Duwamish Conference Room <br />Members present: Jun Castillo, Kim Karns, John Lindsay, Jerry Thornton, Tosh Sharp, Jan Bolerjack, <br />Roger Arnold <br />Staff present: Chief Bruce Linton <br />Guest: None <br />• Minutes for January 9, 2020 meeting approved with orie correction of adding John'Lindsay's name <br />as a member present. <br />• Chief's update: <br />o Staffing —No change since the previous meeting. Currently we have six vacancies for <br />commissioned officer, one vacancy for non-commissioned staff, one officer in the academy, <br />two in field training and two are pendibg the completion; of the background. <br />• Community survey: <br />o Chief Linton will send out the survey to the group to review and be prepared to approve the <br />survey. Chief Linton, also mentioned he would secure' funding for official translation of the <br />survey considering the'six main languages: Spanish, Somalian, Napoli, Arabic, Burmese and <br />Vietnamese. <br />Meetings from March, 2020-June, 2020 were cancelled due to Covid-19 pandemic. <br />Next meeting will be on Thursday, 7/9/20 from 6:30pm — 8:OOpm virtually via Microsoft Teams.
