Manage expected growth in a sustainable way, ensuring that the regional benefits of growth <br />management do not come at the expense of livability, by focusing growth and density in <br />environmentally suitable areas and adequately servicing it with improved infrastructure, <br />including non motorized facilities, transit and enhanced access to parks and natural features. <br />1.3. STARTING POINT: EXISTING CONDITIONS SUMMARY <br />The condition of the Plan Area at the time of the Subarea Plan's drafting is detailed in Appendix A, <br />documenting and describing the physical and structural conditions of the area that have informed <br />the recommendations of the Plan. As change occurs, the community intends to measure those <br />changes to monitor the Plan's success and the degree to which it remains sufficiently current.
